While Chlothar and Dainsleif have large, hollow pupils, Kaeya's eye has a smaller, compact Primogem shape. Kaeya has these pupils, but there is a difference from other characters. These individuals can be pointed out by their Primogem-shaped pupils. Khaenri'ah's current lore implies there is still a group of Khaenri'ahns living together in their ruined home, but these are likely the pure-blooded citizens who avoided becoming monsters. Kaeya's connection is not like Albedo's origins in Genshin Impact, where he was created by a Khaenri'ahn but was not a part of the nation. Once players unlock the "Caribert" quest in Genshin Impact, they will meet Chlothar's son Caribert, who may just be an older version of Kaeya. Kaeya is directly related to the founder Chlothar Alberich, who goes by Eide during "Caribert". Dainsleif, one of the best sources of Khaenri'ahn knowledge in the game, reveals that it was an Alberich that founded the Abyss Order, rather than the Traveler's sibling. The Alberich Clan were nobility before the cataclysm that destroyed Khaenri'ah. It is unknown what Kaeya was expected to do, but his father's last words to him were that he was Khaenri'ah's "last hope", as Character Story 4 says.Īlthough Kaeya's mission and parents are not known in Genshin Impact, his last name, Alberich, is a link to Khaenri'ah. Kaeya was brought to Mondstadt by his father, a Khaenri'ahn, and told to implant himself in Mondstadt as a Khaenri'ahn spy, hence his strained relationship with his 22-year-old brother Diluc in Genshin Impact. Most of the information regarding Kaeya's life before Mondstadt comes from his Character Story 4 and his Vision entry. Kaeya's connection to Khaenri'ah remains a source of mystery in Genshin Impact.
